![]() Its progression as you level is partially the soul itself growing stronger, and partially you upgrading the hardware it has to work with, much more than trying. Off that tangent though, basically the code itself probably doesn't have to actually be *that* complex, since the soul itself functions as a sort of upgrade. Its progression as you level is partially the soul itself growing stronger, and partially you upgrading the hardware it has to work with, much more than trying to upgrade the code itself. ![]() If the drone was destroyed *and* an enemy managed to wipe your backups, then that would probably be true death for the ghost in the machine. Then when the Mechanic builds a new drone, the soul transfers over. Meanwhile the backups a Mechanic has in their custom rig function kinda like Clones did in Pathfinder, a backup body for the soul to take refuge in if their normal body is destroyed. why does an Eidolon come to a Summoner, or a Phantom latch on to a Spiritualist? Either Sheer Chance or some Higher Power. How'd this happen for the Mechanic? Well. As such basically a Mechanic's AI is probably a standard drone that they built, but by some quirk (or sometimes possibly intentional), some (literal) ghost in the machine a soul took refuge in the code. A true AI in Starfinder (at least Default Setting Starfinder) has its own implications, namely that it has a soul. Well, technically no one but a Mechanic can make an AI. Assuming no Item Level is equivalent to Item Level 0, then if it weren't for the "trained only" factor, then one wouldn't even need to put a point in it. Given crafting rules are based on Item Level, then Rules as Written, making an AI is trivially easy. Unless Tiers count, but since there's only 10 tiers, that doesn't seem right. Technically, Computers don't seem to have an Item Level. I'm all for letting the player build his drone but they need to come up with some other story of how they acquired the AI module. ![]() How did you create a limited AI with 1 rank in Computers/Engineering? All the squishy single target supports. For Mechanic, well this is a pet peeve of mine. Heroes like Ogre/Clockwerk/SB with high armor or hp take long to kill that sometimes you'd rather cyclone/purge ignite/purge bulldoze and focus on cores or the other support.īut yeah, I love picking brew into heroes like Bane/Shaman/Witch Doctor/Oracle. I find supports that are naturally tanky are quite a problem. Just cyclone a core and go bully their supports is Brew's life. If bane doesn't kill you first in a fight, Brew usually makes him useless in my experience. He also doesn't have much hp and you can solo kill him in fights. You can purge bane's sleep/glimmer cape/enfeeble and stun his grip consistently if you aim for him. If they somehow survive at the end of your ult, just use wind spirit to run to a safe place and re-ult. Often with these disablers like Skywrath, I'd just cinder brew and pre ult for a fight. He's all single target so all you need to do in fights is maybe press cinder brew and just straight ulti (you can trigger the cinder brew with spells or the fire spirits passive anyways). ![]() Often when I see Bane, I want to pick Brew. Really? I'm an offlane main at 6k mmr (not absolute trash at the game) and play a lot of Brew. ![]()
